After much anticipation, BJ The Chicago Kid has released his long-awaited major label debut album, In My Mind, via Motown Records.
The 15-track set boasts features from Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Big K.R.I.T. and Isabella, to name a few.
In an interview with Vibe, BJ noted, “We put our all into this album, and everybody involved in it. We pretty much created it in thirty days, so I slept in the studio for twenty-seven days out of the thirty.” He added, “I literally put everything I had into this project. I just hoped and prayed that people would feel it, and they do so, thank God! We’re all happy!”
BJTCK kicked off the campaign for In My Mind last summer with “Church,” which has more than two million views on VEVO. Since then, he’s shared a few more tracks from the album, including “The Resume,” “Love Inside,” and “Turnin’ Me Up.”
