Ashanti is back acting once again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ashanti has booked a recurring role in season seven of the Lifetime drama, Army Wives. The singer-actress will play Latasha Durant,  an optimistic mother of three, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Despite her situation, Latasha doesn’t want pity. She’s a sexy, fun woman who knows how to keep a husband – and how to keep him in line.

Ashanti is no stranger to acting. The “Foolish” singer has played in movies such as Coach Carter, John Tucker Must Die, and Resident Evil Extinction.

Congratulations are in order for Ashanti. Hopefully, we can get an update on the status of her highly-awaited album, BraveHeart.
