New wave R&B favorite Miguel is readying his third album for a fall 2014 release.
In an interview with VIBE Magazine, Miguel provides preliminary details about his follow-up album to his Grammy-nominated sophomore effort, “Kaleidoscope Dream.”
The “Adorn” songwriter just started recording last week and says the album will focus on his home Los Angeles; he will also incorporate a classic rock sound into his new project.
Regarding plans for marketing his next album, Miguel says: “I wanna write the f—– summer anthem. You know I haven’t had that summer song yet. So that’s my goal. And then come out of the summer with the album.”
The “How Many Drinks?” singer is already excited about some of his new tracks including the allegorical “Hollywood Dreams” and the other, a morbid sounding track “Destinado a Morir,” which means “Destined to Die” in Spanish. Miguel promises that he will be singing in Spanish on the album so fans should expect a bit of Spanglish.
Earlier this week, Miguel released his new song “Simplethings” featured on HBO’s “Girls: Vol. 2″ soundtrack.
Fans should expect Miguel’s third album to be released later this year.
