Grammy-winning producer Camper has teamed with Syd and Tank for his new single “I Need It.”

On the pillowy track, suitable for any lovemaking playlist, the two singers yearn for constant intimacy from their respective partners.

“Find a better reason / Why we shouldn’t lay up / Get back to freakin’ right now / All I know is / I need it,” Syd sings in the first verse.

“Don’t run away from daddy / Taste that Laffy Taffy / Take and make me happy / By the way you grab me / I know I’m getting in it,” Tank croons in verse two.

Speaking on “I Need It,” Camper tells Rated R&B, “This collaboration is a dream come true. It’s the first time that the three of us were able to work together and we got to create history. We won by doing what we love to do – you can hear the passion in the song. Like Phil Jackson (ex-Chicago Bulls coach) would say, it’s a triangle offense!”

Camper first hinted at his collaboration with Syd in a 2022 post on X (formerly Twitter). “Vocals came in,” he posted, along with a photo of him sitting next to Syd — and her dog Steele.

“I Need It” is the follow-up to Camper’s 2023 solo single, “Whatever You Say.” Both songs will appear on Camper’s upcoming album, Campilation.

Camper, who recently produced Coco Jones‘ Grammy-winning single “ICU,” exclusively shared information about his project in an interview with Rated R&B.

“I have all the R&B artists I love that’s my family on the album together. [The album is] like what DJ Khaled did with hip-hop, but this is R&B,” Camper told Rated R&B. He also listed some of the artists he collaborated with for the album, including Tank, Syd, H.E.R., Brandy, Ty Dolla $ign, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Jill Scott, and Ari Lennox.

Camper added, “I’m digging deep in R&B. This is volume one. I’m going to do more volumes because everybody else [is] going to feel like they [were] left out.”

A release date for Campilation has not been announced at this time.

In other news, Tank is gearing up to launch his R&B Money Tour with special guests Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas. The 25-city tour begins May 10 at The Fillmore in New Orleans.
