Since becoming emancipated from her previous label (Blackground Records) and signing to Atlantic Records, JoJo has been putting in major work. From releasing an EP to performing at the 2014 SXSW festival, it appears she’s enjoying her new label home.
Alongside her new labelmate B.o.B, the “Sunshine” artist stepped in for singer-songwriter Priscilla Renea to perform an acoustic version of “John Doe” off the hip-hop star’s new album “Underground Luxury.”
Last month, JoJo talked with ABC News about her forthcoming album. “I just can’t wait to create a classic album,” she said. “You can expect a diverse collection of songs that help to explain me as a young woman and I think will speak to what it means to be a young woman in 2014, which isn’t just girl power anthems or boy-bashing songs, but it’s a wide variety of different influences.”
