Rising R&B group MPrynt missions to revive the throwback sound of male R&B groups with their buzz single “Don’t Hurt Me.”
The Motown Records quartet (Budda, Rael, Tyce & Faheem) bring back a sweet sound that is a rare find and has been since at least the late 2000’s. The group’s powerful falsetto voices bathe the sultry track as they beg their lover not to hurt them with their killer looks and moves. The track doesn’t beat around the bush of R&B with any pop or hip-hop interruptions and instead nails the true R&B sound of greats like Jodeci, Dru Hill and 112.
The Philadelphia based group is now working on their debut album after recently opening for Marsha Ambrosius’ “Friends and Lovers Tour.” By debuting with a track of this caliber, MPrynt is sure to bring back the rich, soulful essence of rhythm and blues and the feelings associated when you hear such a genuine tune. It shouldn’t be long before this group fills a gap that is missing in this genre of music.
Listen to the heart-melting track as the quartet serenades the heck out of the record with a job well done.
