If Beyoncé has not begun constructing a new accolade case, she should consider it, as she will receive another award this month.
The MTV Video Music Awards has announced that the global superstar will be honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at this year’s ceremony.
After supplying her BeyHive with 17 music videos to accompany her 2013 self-titled visual album, it’s no surprise that the VMAs wanted Bey to be their 2014 recipient of the prestigious award.
In addition to the honor, Beyoncé will make her fourth VMAs performance. The last time she took the stage, which was in 2011, she announced her pregnancy to the world when she sang her Grammy-winning single “Love on Top.”
The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will air on August 24 at 9 p.m. ET.
