DJ Premier and Miguel Release ‘2 Lovin U’

DJ Premier and Miguel team up for a song called “2 Lovin U.” The song isn’t new, though. In 2014, Miguel shared a snippet of the track on his Instagram while he was working on his third album, Wildheart. However, the song didn’t make the album because it wasn’t a good fit with the rest of the album.

“It’s never about one song,” Miguel said. “Every piece of the puzzle supports the picture, so if one of the pieces doesn’t fit and doesn’t capture the emotion and sonic representation I’m hearing, unfortunately I just have to save it for something else.”

DJ Premier said in a press release, “The snippet you heard on Miguel’s Instagram, mine is the original. Miguel and I were vibing at a session and just really seeing what we could come up with. What we came up with was a dope, but rough version of what you hear today. Miguel and I had deadlines and we never got around to finishing it. We both really believed in this version of the track and we both felt very strongly that it needed to come out and be released as a single. Miguel and I approached the label about releasing it and everyone was on-board.”

“2 Lovin U” is the first release off DJ Premier’s new record label TTT (To The Top).

Mya blesses fans with a new song called “You Got Me.”

On the snappy groove, the R&B siren wants to leave her partner with a lasting experience in the bedroom, so he won’t lust for other women when he’s out on the road.

“They’ll never do you like me / They’ll never touch you like me / Have you going crazy, make you call me trouble / A dose is not enough, I’ll have you doing doubles,” she sings.

“You Got Me” is the follow-up track to her sexy track “Ready For Whatever” which came out in September. Both songs are expected to be featured on Mya’s nameless upcoming album.
