Don’t play games with La’Porsha Renae’s heart. The American Idol season 15 runner-up has released a new breakup anthem titled “Somebody Does.” The acoustic-driven track, written and produced by Ne-Yo, finds Renae fed up with her man not reciprocating the love she has for him. The song itself is uplifting in a sense that Renae refuses to cry about it, but instead move onto someone who actually appreciates her.
“Neither one of us is blind / It’s plain to see / You were never, ever mine (you don’t want me) / You don’t want this to be us / If you don’t want this good love / Baby, baby you can trust / That somebody does,” Renae boldly sings.
“Somebody Does” is the follow-up to “What Is Love” and “Good Woman,” which appear on her debut album Already All Ready that drops on March 31 on Motown Records.
