R&B singer Ray J releases his video for his latest single, “I Hit It First.” The J.R. Saint-directed video finds Ray J riding in a fancy car and flying on a private jet with a woman who resembles his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian. He also recreates a clean version of his infamous sex tape and watches a reality show that is very similar to Kardashian’s E! series.
One who listens to the song and watches the video may assume that this song is about Kim Kardashian. However, Ray J insists that it’s not the case.
“It’s a song. It’s not about that. It’s about a concept. People going way too deep,” he told Hot 97. “I think people digging into it too deep. It’s a song, we just having fun. That’s it,” he continued.
“I Hit It First” peaked at No.51 on Billboard’s Hot 100. As of today, it’s at No.90.
