It’s been nearly four years since India.Arie released her 2009 album, “Testimony: Vol.2 Love & Politics.” With one week until her “SongVersation” album drops, the neo-soul singer is cranking up her promotional campaign. The “Brown Skin” singer recently visited Maijic 102.3 in DC to talk about her new album, as well as other topics including her musical hiatus and her love love life.
She also speaks on the much-talked about promo photo for her new single “Cocoa Butter,” which sparked skin bleaching rumors.
“First of all obviously I did not bleach my skin. I would not portray myself that way,” Arie said in defense.
