K. Michelle will finally release her debut album “Rebellious Soul” next Tuesday (Aug. 13). Continuing her promotional trek, the “My Life” singer stopped by VH1 for an exclusive interview.
Michelle says she wanted her debut album to be a body of work where you press play and not skip a track. As fans cruise through the 11-track offering, she tells VH1 there are hidden interludes including concert favorite (and ours) “Coochie Symphony.”
Along the series of clips, we find out why she finds it hard to write on instrumental tracks, why men need to grow up and the reason she calls her music ‘bipolar.’ Also see what she had to say about the tracks “Pay My Bills,” “My Life,” and “Damn,” among others. You’ll never guess what she was doing when she recorded “It’s Too Late.”
“Rebellious Soul” arrives August 13 and features hit single “V.S.O.P” along with special guest Meek Mill.
