Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige took to the Fenway Park field in Boston to deliver an emotional “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night.
Patriotism soared at the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox kick-off of the World Series during her performance, as jets flew overhead the field.
Mary is no stranger to performing the national anthem at the World Series. She performed the anthem at the Yankee Stadium before the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees played in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series at the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees.
