Rising R&B group and Memphis natives Bluff City 3 (Rakeem, Roney, Frank) go back in time to probably one of the best decades in R&B music — the 90’s. Fittingly naming their mixtape “90’s Babies” their musical style echos many of the trends laid throughout the 90’s.
The 10-track offering features an intro paying homage to a few of the best in 90’s R&B – from TLC’s “Creep” to Usher’s “My Way” and Silk’s “Meeting In My Bedroom.”Aside from the intro, the mixtape includes standout tunes like “Take You To The Crib,” “Nobody” and an interesting remix to “Versace.”
