2013 Soul Train Awards Winners

Last night (Dec. 1), the 2013 Soul Train Awards aired on BET and CENTRIC. The star studded event, hosted by comedian Anthony Anderson, featured performances by Jennifer Hudson, Tamar Braxton, K. Michelle, Gladys Knight, Ron Isley, Faith Evans, Ruben Studdard, and a list of others.

There were 16 award categories. However, some of the awards were not aired on television last night. No worries, we got you.

Best New Artist – K. Michelle

Centric Certified Award – Luke James

Best Gospel/Inspirational Performance – “If He Did It Before…Same God” by Tye Tribbett

Best Hip Hop Song Of The Year – “Bad” by Wale featuring Tiara Thomas

Best R&B/Soul Female Artist – Tamar Braxton

Best R&B/Soul Male Artist – Miguel

Album Of The Year – “GOOD Kid, M.A.A.D City” by Kendrick Lamar

Song Of The Year – “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell & T.I.

The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award – “Love & War” written by Tamar Braxton, Darhyl Camper Jr, Lashawn Daniels & Makeba Riddick

Best Dance Performance – “Body Party” by Ciara

Video Of The Year – “Q.U.E.E.N.” by Janelle Monae featuring Erykah Badu

Best Collaboration – “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell & T.I.

Best International Performance – “Different Tolog” by Bunji Garlin

Best Traditional Jazz Performance – “Waiting In Vain” by Nicole Henry

Best Contemporary Jazz Performance – “Missing You” by George Duke

Best Independent R&B/Soul Performance – “Never Should Have” by Ashanti
