It’s been less than a year since Chrisette Michele released her “Better” album and is already working on her next album. Revealing the news to BlackTree TV on the red carpet of ESSENCE’s Black Women in Music event, Michele said her new album “The Lyricist Opus” is coming this spring.
“I’m also recording a new CD called ‘The Lyricist Opus’ which I’ve hired an orchestra and a bunch of dancers to record some videos so I can’t wait to share it on May 26th,” said Michele.
Michele also confirmed that there will not be any featured artists on her next album. “No, it’s all about the music…all about musicians, all about live instrumentation,” she said.
Michele will appear on the second season of “R&B Divas: Los Angeles” with co-stars Leela James, Lil Mo, Chante Moore, Claudette Ortiz and Michel’le.
