The singer talks about her struggle of feeling stifled for the sake of maintaining her wholesome image. Now in her 30’s,Beyoncé is letting down her fourth wall and reclaiming her artistry through her music no matter what.
She explains, “I’ve earned the right to be me and to express any and every side of myself… I feel like I’m opening up a lot in these videos and showing sides of me that only a few people have ever seen.”
Highlighting the popular and sensual track “Rocket” Beyoncé talks about her experience collaborating with Miguel and Justin Timberlake. We get a glimpse of Bey recording impressive ad-libs in the studio, leaving Timbaland and Justin Timberlake stunned.
Later, Pharrell remarks on the impact that the song will have on all women: “When does a mother and a wife do that? That’s your strength. You set women free. That record is a phenomenon.”
