The wait is finally over. Mariah Carey will be releasing her new single on Valentine’s Day for her highly anticipated new album.
During her appearance on ‘New Year’s Eve with Carson Daily,’ she announced not only the release of a new single on lover’s day, but also the release of her album in the spring. According to latest news, the title of the new single is yet to be revealed and the title of the album remains “The Art of Letting Go.”
Carey has been on a roller coaster ride this past year. Her departure from American Idol in late May and new management with Jermaine Dupri in early October are just a few that top the list. Carey released a couple singles last year, “#Beautiful” and “The Art of Letting Go,” which did okay on the charts (except the latter tune). Yet, her album was still delayed.
“I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs,” comments the songstress last June on the delay of the album. “I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard.”
“The Art of Letting Go” will be Carey’s 14th studio album. It will include past singles “#Beautiful,” “The Art of Letting Go” and “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” along with some new material.
