CHART CHECK: Mariah Carey’s ‘You’re Mine’ Debuts On Hot 100 + Candice Glover Earns First Top 20 Single

This week’s edition of Chart Check highlights Toni Braxton and Babyface’s “Love, Marriage & Divorce” album sales” and where UK artist Daley’s first album debuted on the Billboard charts. It also reveals which “American Idol” earned her first top 20 single on the Adult R&B Songs chart and where Mariah Carey’s new single “You’re Mine (Eternal)” debuted on the Billboard charts including the Hot 100.

Billboard 200

Beyoncé’s self-titled album sold 48,405 copies last week, which helps her fifth studio set rise from No. 7 to No. 4. The album now totals 1, 755, 208 copies sold to date.

Bruno Mars’ “Unorthodox Jukebox” drops from No. 3 to No. 5, after selling 48,000 copies last week. Mars’ sophomore album now totals 2,098,000 copies sold to date. His debut effort “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” fell from No. 11 to No. 28.

After debuting at No. 4 last week, Toni Braxton and Babyface’s debut joint album “Love, Marriage & Divorce” shifts down to No. 8. The duets album has sold over 100,000 copies since its release on February 4.

John Legend’s love driven album “Love in the Future” moves up 12 spots to No. 17 this week. The album has sold 319,000 copies to date.

Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2” climbs from No. 35 to No. 22, totaling 876,000 albums sold since September 30. Meanwhile, the LP’s prequel “The 20/20 Experience” slides down from No. 76 to No. 95.

R. Kelly’s twelfth album “Black Panties” moves from No. 25 to No. 23 this week. According to Chart News, “Black Panties” has sold 352,000 albums to date.

Billboard Hot 100

It’s week three of the race between Beyoncé, Jason Derulo and Pharrell for the No. 1 position on the Hot 100. However, none of the artists were successful in obtaining the top spot. Take a look at the results of week three:

Pharrell’s “Happy” eyes the No. 1 spot at No. 2 for a second week. His Oscar-nominated single remains in the lead of the three-pack challenge.

Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty” featuring 2 Chainz remains at No. 3 for another week.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” returns to the Hot 100’s top five at No. 5 after spending last week at No. 8. The shift could be due to her several released remixes featuring T.I., Kanye West and The Weeknd.

There’s a possibility that John Legend could join the race to No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 as his single “All of Me” now stands at No. 11 after rising from No. 15.

In its fifth week, Chris Brown’s “Loyal” featuring French Montana and Lil’ Wayne ascends nine spots to No. 54. Trey Songz’s DJ Mustard-produced cut “Na Na” climbs from No. 80 to No. 69.

John Legend’s love struck ballad “All of Me” holds the No. 1 position for the third consecutive week.

In its fourth week, Pharrell’s feel-good tune “Happy” floats from No. 10 to No. 7. Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” breaks into the top ten at No. 10 after spending last week at No. 12.

Leela James magical duet “Say That” featuring Anthony Hamilton climbs from No. 16 to No. 14.

Season 12 “American Idol” winner Candice Glover scores her first top 20 single with “Cried.” The Jazmine Sullivan penned ballad rises from No. 21 to No. 18.

Trey Songz “Na Na” eyes the top ten at No. 11 in its fourth week. Meanwhile, Jhené Aiko’s “The Worst” moves up three spots to No. 14.

At week four, Trey Songz club banger “Na Na” makes its entrance into the top 20 at No. 18 after spending last week at No. 21.

After debuting at No. 50 last week, August Alsina’s “Ghetto” featuring Rich Homie Quan/Yo Gotti jumps to No. 37.
