R&B/soul songstress Leela James will bless fans with a new album this year. The Los Angeles native will release her fourth studio album — titled “Fall For You — on July 8 via J&T Records/BMG/RED Distribution.
James recruited talented producers for this project including Tim “Tha Arkitec” Kelley (Tim & Bob), Shannon Sanders and Drew Ramsey (John Legend, India.Arie) and our Rated Next Artist Joe Ryan III (Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild).
In our interview with Joe Ryan, the singer/songwriter/producer dished on James’ forthcoming album. “When you hear her new album, it surpasses anything that she’s ever done,” he said. He also revealed he recorded a duet with James titled “Save Me,” which he produced and co-wrote. “That’ll be my first appearance as an artist on a major project,” said Ryan.
James has released “Say That” featuring Anthony Hamilton and “Fall For You” as singles. The latter single, which was co-produced by Joe Ryan, will impact radio on May 19.
James will also star in the upcoming season 2 of “R&B Divas: LA,” which airs this summer.
The show will follow James as she gears up to launch her forthcoming album, in addition to giving never-seen-before access into her personal life.
