With the BET Awards set to take place next month, the network announces this year’s nominees. Leading the pack this year is Beyoncé with five nominations. Next in line is emerging singer August Alsina and music superstar Pharrell with four nominations.
The 2014 BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m. EST on BET from the Nokia Theatre L.A.
“This year’s nominees represent the best of the culture,” said Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials. “It’s great to see our talented new artist’s right alongside our more beloved ones with long careers. We appreciate our BET Awards nomination committee, over 300 strong, for their efforts and congratulate all the nominees.”
