Freshly released to radio formats and iTunes today is the newest track from raw talent Jhene Aiko “To Love and Die” featuring Cocaine 80s.
Following the major success of her “Sail Out” EP, Aiko preps fans for her full-length album “Souled Out” by releasing its first track “To Love and Die.” The No ID-produced record showcases Aiko’s soft, sultry voice on a dark-infused, gloomy love track. Aiko croons lyrical content that you would expect from a rapper, that only her spectacular talent can deliver so effortlessly.
“Because where I’m from we live for the love, we die for the love,” are the lyrics the 26-year-old lays on the track.
Her catchy rhyme scheme, rapper-like flow and infectious tone are sure to make this record stand out from anything that is spinning on radio airwaves. Don’t be surprised if you see Aiko performing this song this Sunday at the BET Awards (hint-hint).
