RL, former lead singer of R&B group Next, offers the world some insight into the group’s departure in his new song “Aye.”
While the current members of Next tell their side of the story through interviews, RL uses “Aye” to tell his. Interestingly, RL includes clips from the interviews in his song so that nothing is misconstrued.
“When it comes to this music ya’ll don’t even want it,” sings RL.
Next is most known for their smooth jams such as “Too Close,” “Butter Love” and “Wifey.” They were also featured on “If You Leave” from Destiny’s Child’s sophomore album “The Writing’s on the Wall.”
