RL, former lead singer of R&B group Next, gives the world some insight of the departure of the group in his new song “Aye.”
While the current members of Next tell their side of the story via interviews, RL uses “Aye” to tell his side. Interestingly, RL includes clips from the interviews in his song so that way nothing is misconstrued.
“When it comes to this music ya’ll don’t even want it,” sings RL.
Next is most known for their smooth jams such as “Too Close,” “Butter Love” and “Wifey.” They were also featured on “If You Leave” from Destiny’s Child sophomore album “The Writing’s on the Wall.”
