R&B’s latest ‘it’ girl Jhené Aiko has finally revealed a release date and cover artwork for her long-awaited debut album “Souled Out.”
Aiko’s first album will arrive on September 9 via Artium Records/Def Jam. The project will include her latest single “To Love & Die” featuring Cocaine 80s as well as a song called “The Pressure.”
To assist with the album’s production, Aiko calls on NO I.D., Key Wane, James Fauntleroy, Dot Da Genius and Fisticuffs.
Fans won’t have to worry about losing focus on Aiko’s voice or meaningful lyrics as there won’t be many guest appearances on the album. “I did the album and it just shaped up to be all me,” she shared to Rap Up TV. “I just didn’t leave room for anybody just because I have a lot to say. I just wrote the songs from top to bottom.”
