They say history repeats itself and for Jagged Edge, it seems to be true. The R&B group’s eighth studio album, JE Heartbreak II, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.
JE Heartbreak II is the sequel to the group’s 2000 album JE Heartbreak, which also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
“This initial response to JE Heartbreak II confirms my belief that people really do want true R&B,” says So So Def CEO Jermaine Dupri who executive produced the album. “I look forward to continue showing the industry that this kind of music is wanted in today’s marketplace.”
The 13-track LP includes singles “Hope” and “Ready,” which are both solid R&B songs.
