While we wait for Jazmine Sullivan to unleash her Reality Show album early next year, the Philly native drops a new track called “Mascara.”
Produced by Key Wane, “Mascara” is a mellow track that finds Sullivan singing about covering her flaws to enhance her physical appearance.”I never leave the house without makeup on/ I keep mascara in my pocket/ If I’m running to the market/ Cause you never know who’s watching you/ So I gotta stay on, I gotta stay on,” Sullivan sings over the smooth track.
“I just love how laid-back it is,” Sullivan told Rap Up TV. “You kinda get a chance to just focus on the lyrics and the melody a little more.”
Mascara is the third track Sullivan has shared from her forthcoming album. The other songs released were “Dumb” featuring Meek Mill and “Forever Don’t Last.”
Judging by the music Sullivan has put out, Reality Show is sure to be a treat to us all.
