On the eve of the Fifty Shades of Grey film release, The Weeknd brought his soulful chops to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Earned It.”
Backed by a live band, the Canadian artist supplied the late night show audience and viewers with a sultry performance of the soundtrack’s lead single.
The film’s soundtrack, released earlier this week, is expected to make an impressive debut on the Billboard charts next week. According to the online publication, the soundtrack is predicted to sell over 180,000 copies in its opening week.
As for “Earned It,” the song jumped from No. 70 to No. 27 on the Hot 100 chart this week.
