The Weeknd has scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Can’t Feel My Face.” The Max Martin-produced track knocked OMI’s “Cheerleader” to No. 2 after holding the throne for four weeks.
The Toronto-born singer went to Twitter to express his excitement. “NUMBER 1 SONG IN THE COUNTRY XO !,” he tweeted.
“Can’t Feel My Face” continues to dominate the digital world as well with 106 million streams on Spotify. The official video, which was released in late July, has over 13 million views on YouTube.
Be on the lookout for The Weeknd’s forthcoming album, Beauty Behind the Madness, due on August 28 via Republic Records.
