Grammy nominated soul band The Internet are getting the party started with their double feature for “Special Affair” and “Palace/Curse.” In the Calmatic directed visual, the band is at a barn party full of people vibing with “Special Affair.” The black and white clip captures partygoers pouring shots and smoking while Syd Tha Kyd demands viewers attention.
Just when you get nice and comfortable, The Internet takes you for a spin for their “Curse” interlude. Rapper Tyler The Creator appears to turn the party up with his verse in “Palace.”
Front woman, Syd Tha Kid confirmed on Twitter that the visuals were inspired by British funk band Jamiroquai’s “Blow Your Mind” video.
“Special Affair” and “Palace/Curse” both appear on The Internet’s third album Ego Death. The Internet is currently gearing up to bring their soulful sounds to Europe for their upcoming tour. If you want to see the band live without traveling across the pond, you can catch them at the 22nd annual Essence Festival in New Orleans.
