Anderson .Paak has had a pretty action-packed year so far, from releasing his successful second album Malibu to performing on shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the BET Awards. Since the year isn’t over yet, .Paak and his band The Free Nationals are still performing everywhere they can, this time on NPR’s “Tiny Desk” concert series.
Manning a drum-set amongst bandmates in a tiny office in NPR’s headquarters in Washington D.C., .Paak and The Free Nationals perform some cuts from Malibu and his hit collaborative song with Hip-Hop producer Knxwledge “Suede.”
Anderson .Paak is an up-and-coming singer out of Oxnard, California with a sound reminiscent of the funk and classic R&B era. This year, he’s performed everywhere from the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago to the Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C.
