It’s been nearly 20 years since Xscape released their third album, Traces of My Lipstick, in 1998. However, the group has finally reunited with all four original members: LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Kandi Burruss. The group confirmed their reunion on Tuesday on The Bigger Tigger Show radio show.
Burruss revealed they all put their past beef behind them in a heart-to-heart conversation this month.
“It was emotional, but then we had a real conversation, which we haven’t had in a long time,” she said. “I was able to let it go after that,” she said.
Harris added, “Now, we grown. We gon’ let the bygones be bygones. It’s the last time you will hear this. Anything after this is going to be our legacy and what we doing next.”
While the group has reunited, there aren’t any details on what exactly they have in store. However, they did reassure fans that they will be performing together in the near future.
“I don’t like to confirm anything until the ink dries, but I definitely can say that I am looking forward to performing again with my group members,” Burruss said.
Scott, who was live on the phone from Los Angeles, added: “We definitely have different offers on the table. We’re just taking our time to make sure that we have everything right and in order, but you guys will see us perform again. That’s for sure.”
Formed in 1991, Xscape became one of the most successful female R&B groups of the ’90s. They are responsible for timeless hits such as “Understanding,” “Just Kickin It,” “Love on My Mind,” “Who Can I Run To,” “My Little Secret,” and many others.
