Emerging artist Demo Taped puts his emotions into a song called “Insecure.”
“I’ve been so insecure / And you claim your love is pure / You try to reassure me / Lately I think I’ve been going crazy,” sings the 19-year-old.
The raw track was actually recorded at his grandfather’s church in Atlanta with members of the church, which explains the song’s gospel influence.
“Gospel music, to me, has always been comforting, has always been a source of healing,” he told NPR. “Everybody’s been through something and this music is a representation of the healing power of God and what that can do for you.”
Demo Taped is signed to 300 Entertainment and plans to release an EP soon. Until then, vibe to “Insecure” below.
