The Weeknd Releases Surreal Visual for ‘Call Out My Name’

The Weeknd captures his dark emotions in the video for “Call Out My Name,” which is lifted from his new project, My Dear Melancholy.

Directed by Grant Singer, the eerie clip opens with The Weeknd walking alone on an empty street. The video takes a strange turn after one-minute of playing. When he belts the chorus, bats fly out of his mouth. The video continues to get creepy as The Weeknd finds himself in an abandoned theater and in the middle of the wilderness.

My Dear Melancholy debuted at No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200, making it his third consecutive number one album. The project follows 2016’s Starboy and 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness.

Fans will be calling out The Weeknd’s name today at Coachella, where he is set to perform. His festival run this summer also includes Panorama in July and Lollapalooza in August.
