The Internet has released their fourth album, Hive Mind on Columbia Records. The project serves as a follow-up to their Grammy-nominated album, Ego Death.
The 13-track project is filled with delicious pieces of music candy and will likely put an instant dance spell on listeners. Songs like “Roll (Burbank Funk)” and “La Di Da” get you moving, while “Next Time/Humble Pie” and “Wanna Be” makes you deeply think about love and life.
The band’s eccentric guitarist and super producer, Steve Lacy, describes Hive Mind as a “really sharp” pencil. The Internet’s frontwoman Syd comments the new album was created “as naturally as possible.”
The Internet will support Hive Mind with their tour featuring special guest Gorillaz. Syd will be performing at the Pitch Fork Festival in Chicago tonight (July 20).
