Blossoming singer-songwriter Rileyy Lanez is leaving her mark on the R&B scene with her debut EP Beautiful Mistakes.
Rounding out at five songs, the EP compromises of fresh, soulful cuts drawing influences from candid R&B. The latter, “Left 4 Me,” has been described by Lanez as reminiscent of the early 2000s R&B.
“I want to be the artist that brings back the old R&B vibes. We don’t get much of that anymore. The song itself was made about someone that I’ve dealt with in the past, lessons were learned,” she told Euphoria.
The New York City artist plays a large role in keeping her fans in the loop through social media. “I like to try to always keep my fans engaged with what I’m doing. I always keep them updated and show how much I appreciate them because without them I wouldn’t be where I am now,” she continued.
The debut project is anchored by previously-released singles “Left 4 Me,” “I’m Leaving” and “Foul Play.”
