South Carolina native Kyle Lux steps into the spotlight with his sophomore EP, Projectors.
Recorded in December 2019, the four-track project is an array of whimsical, feel-good songs that contribute a fresh take to alt-R&B. Lux’s verdantly enlivening vocals pleasingly melts into tracks like the mechanically soulful “222” and the dreamily elegant “Are You in Love?”
“A lot of intimate feelings went into this project,” Lux wrote on Instagram. “There’s a bit of self-discovery and an exploration of looooove.”
To celebrate the release of his new EP, Lux dropped a video for “222.” Directed by Lux and Jackie Radnisky, the easy-going visual showcases Lux in a number of performance shots at the beach. Lux’s vibrant outfits enhance the beautiful desert background, a reflection of his mellow yet exuberant sound.
Lux released his debut EP No Roof Access in November 2019.
