R&B veterans Angie Stone and Ginuwine have been named among the honorees at the 2021 Black Music Honors, which will air on Saturday, June 19, at 1 p.m. ET on Bounce TV.

Stone will be presented with the Soul Music Icon Award, while Ginuwine will receive the Urban Music Icon Award.

Other honorees include gospel singer Marvin Sapp (Gospel Music Icon Award) and jazz musician Ramsey Lewis (the Legends Award). The National Museum of African American Music will be honored with the Legacy Award.

The Black Music Honors will feature performances from After 7, Avery Sunshine, CeCe Winans, Chrisette Michele, Jacquees, J. Moss, Jac Ross, Kevin Ross, Montell Jordan, Pleasure P, Q Parker, Stokley and more.

The star-studded event will be hosted by Emmy-winning talk show host and comedian Loni Love.

“Now, more than ever, I think it is important to recognize the contributions that Black music has made to the country and the world,” Love said in a press statement. “I am beyond thrilled to host this exciting, inspiring and entertaining show. See y’all at the show wearing my shiny dresses!”

Don Jackson, founder and executive producer of the Black Music Honors added, “This is an incredibly exciting time for us. In addition to the amazing honorees and exciting performances this year, we are also announcing that the Black Music Honors will now be held in the month of June. This is an important time for our community as it is officially Black Music Month and our national holiday, Juneteenth. What better way to honor our legacy at this time.”

The Black Music Honors is produced by Central City Productions, Inc.
