Houston-based R&B singer Jack Freeman has released his new single “U N D R E S S.”
Bryan-Michael Cox produced the steamy bedroom jam and co-wrote it with fellow hitmaker Adonis Shropshire (Usher, Mariah Carey, Ciara) and Freeman.
Over an alluring production, Freeman sings: “It’s the way that you look / That’s got me excited / Ignited / A private / Party in here / And girl you’re invited / I’m delighted to be inside / Every inch of your garden / We ain’t gon’ end where we started / I just wanna U-N-D-R-E-S-S tonight.”
Speaking on his new track, Freeman says, “‘U N D R E S S’ is about the intense visualization of wanting to strip your significant other down and appreciate them in their most bare, most vulnerable and most beautiful form.”
“U N D R E S S” is the second single from Freeman’s upcoming album, Nina. The album will release Jan. 19 via Freeman Brand in collaboration with Cox’s content creation company Illustrate New Ideas.
“When I started to conceptualize Nina, I wanted to create songs that resonate amongst lovers. My objective was to lean into love and all the things that accompany it,” explains Freeman.
The album’s lead single, “Shine,” was released Aug. 25, 2023. It was written by Freeman and produced by Lab Ox.
“I am pleased to present ‘Shine’ to the world,” said Freeman. “Producer Lab Ox and I worked really hard to give you all something that will make you not only reflect on a relatable topic but also dance in the process. We wanted to give everyone an R&B feel but with a Louisiana and Houston influence.”
On Jan. 27, Freeman will celebrate the release of Nina with a headlining show at The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston. Tickets are on sale now at livenation.com.
Nina is the follow-up to Freeman’s 2018 album, Define Love.
