PARTYNEXTDOOR has achieved his first RIAA award of 2025.
The Canadian singer-songwriter’s single “Resentment” has earned a gold certification. The 2023 single has sold over 500,000 equivalent units in the U.S.
The self-produced track appears on PARTY’s album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4), the fourth installment of the series he launched in 2013.
“Resentment,” which has over 78 million Spotify streams, was released in July 2023 as the second single from P4. It’s the second track from the album to receive an RIAA certification.
In December 2024, PARTY earned a gold plaque for the fan-favorite “No Chill,” eight months after its release. At the time of this writing, “No Chill” has over 109.7 million streams on Spotify.
Circling back to “Resentment,” the song peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.
On the album’s closing track, PARTYNEXTDOOR urges his partner to have the decency to work with him on rectifying their issues instead of distancing herself from them.
“Respect’s what I need, but don’t get (Ooh) / All that I do is resent you now, woah, woah / Respect ain’t so hard to get (Ooh) / But you don’t even attempt to figure yourself out,” he croons over a moody backdrop.
PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4) was released April 26, 2024, via OVO Sound. The album, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, marked his first project since 2020’s PARTYMOBILE.
P4 was ranked No. 7 on Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2024 list.
“PARTYNEXTDOOR (P4) tells a tale of a man navigating situationships and relationships while growing in the process. Cinematic skits placed at the end of several tracks tie the narrative together, making it one of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s most cohesive works in recent years,” wrote Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels.

In 2024, PARTYNEXTDOOR received over a dozen RIAA certifications, including:
