Concluding the tour of the Tony award winning Broadway musical “FELA!,” singer Michelle Williams announces her new single “If We Had Your Eyes.” The song, which will premiere on June 24, is the lead single from her upcoming album.
Yesterday, Williams unveiled the official artwork along with a teaser video to boost anticipation for the song.
In a recent interview with That Grape Juice TV, Williams described her new gospel album to be inspirational, but still possess a R&B flare rhythmically. Furthermore, Williams mentioned that the musical FELA!, which she starred in, influenced the development of her album.
Williams’ new album follows her 2008 release, “Unexpected, which debuted and peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200.
