Tamia brought her “Beautiful Tour” to Rams Head Live last night in Baltimore. The show started around 9:00 p.m. with two local opening acts.
Tamia hit the stage at around 10:04 p.m. wearing a black dress, black ankle heels and a gold necklace. The six-time Grammy nominated singer kicked off her set with a unique dance number that was very fitting for her musical persona. Looking comfortable and confident, the 38-year-old singer started with “Can’t Get Enough” off her 2006 release, “Between Friends.”
From there, Tamia took us on a musical journey full of good ole’ R&B music. She performed hit singles such as “Still,” “So Into You,” “Officially Missing You,” “Me,” “Beautiful Surprise” and “Spend My Life With You” among others.
She also performed fan favorites including “Smile,” “Poetry,” “Happy,” “Give Me You” and “Stranger In My House,” which she performed as an encore. Tamia also captivated the audience as she brought a fan to the stage and sang to him.
Last night was my first time seeing Tamia live in concert. To be honest, I was never a big fan of her. However, after last night, I want to kick myself for missing out on such great music. Many of the songs she performed were my first time hearing. There’s a saying that goes, “Your first impression is your last impression.”
In my opinion, Tamia nailed it. Her set was a little more upbeat than I expected. She did a few dance numbers that really showed how versatile she is as a performer. One thing’s for sure, she is very underrated. She not only has a beautiful face, but she has a beautiful and powerful voice to match it as well.
Go, Tamia!
