Robin Thicke is making sure that he doesn’t remain too complacent with the success of his number one hit “Blurred Lines.” The R&B crooner just released a new song called “Give it 2 U,” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
As he continues to build excitement for his upcoming album, due July 30, Thicke comes with a feisty pulsating beat to put all the music lovers in a trance. His soft vocals on the Dr.Luke produced track serenades over the club-like beat for a mixture of smooth and sexy.
“I got something brand new,” sings Thicke as he hints what’s in store. He continues luring us in as he sings, “I put it all on you, I got a gift for you, a little ‘Thicke’ for ya.”
The epic collaborations continue as Thicke reaches out to more heavy hitters this album. 2013 BET Awards Best New Artist Lamar, amplifies the momentum of the song with trendy and catchy bars, “You’re cotton candy, I need a fist full, I’m often antsy.”
Another version of “Give it 2 U” was previously released featuring rapper 2 Chainz. This version will appear as a remix on the deluxe edition of the album, with Lamar’s version being the original single.
