Dawn Richard has announced her new single “Judith,” which releases on Monday, August 19. Produced by Cronos, the track was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s “Judith” painting from 1901.
“It’s the story of a painting that is priceless and quite iconic being forgotten after being hung in a home too long,”said Richard. “People tend to forget the worth of things after they’ve had them for a long time. ’Judith’ simply reminds her spectators of her worth.”
Richard also released the official single cover, which shows her rocking a gold studded mask.
“Judith” will appear on Richard’s sophomore album “Blackheart,” due later this year.
