Fantasia will continue to promote her latest album, “Side Effects of You,” with her new single. The American Idol winner has announced the title track as the third official single.
The Emeli Sande penned track is the follow-up to Fantasia’s summer jam “Without Me,” which features Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott.
In a recent interview with Rated RnB, Harmony Samuels (who is the executive producer of “Side Effects of You”) confirmed that Fantasia recorded an official remix to “Side Effects of You.”
“It’s a throwback hip-hop record,” said Samuels. “It’s Mobb Deep meets Mary J. Blige, basically. There’s going to be a beautiful collaboration happening which I can’t disclose until we completely do it. It’s going to be an incredible record. I don’t think people have ever seen her in this light. The remix is amazing.”
Perhaps Fantasia will release the “Side Effects of You” remix later this year to help push this single up the charts? Who knows. We’ll have to wait and see.
