John Legend’s new song “Roll Jordan Roll” for Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave” film debuted this week. Legend sings acapella with backup vocalists on the stirring gospel-inspired song.
The film’s soundtrack is set to release in November, which will include Legend’s second song for the film, “Move On Me,” along with appearances from Alicia Keys, Alabama Shakes and Gary Clark, Jr.
The soundtrack, “Music From And Inspired By 12 Years A Slave,” is available for pre-order on Amazon before its November release.
