After discussing her imperfections and giving behind-the-scenes footage of her hit single “Drunk In Love,” Beyoncé continues to take fans on her artistic journey of her new album as she explains her “Liberation” in the latest installment of her “Self-Titled” mini-documentary series.
In the mini-clip, Bey talks about locking herself in a house in the Hamptons with writers and producers The-Dream, Hit-Boy, Shea Taylor and Sia to create her new body of work.
“Recording this album was such an outlet for me to kinda escape and create whatever world and fantasy that definitely at the time was not happening,” she said.
In addition to talking about going into isolation for her visual album, she shared how the raunchy tune “Partition” was born, what inspired the sexy visuals and why she won’t be playing this song for her mother.
