In three weeks, Algebra Blessett will release her sophomore album “Recovery.” After scoring a No.20 hit on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart with love ballad “Nobody But You,” the Atlanta native lays her voice on a new mid-tempo tune called “Right Next to You.”
Serving as track three on the new album, Blessett sings about knowing the importance of ‘me time’ in a relationship but can’t seem do anything unless he is right next to her.
“Got an invite for the party with the girls today / I’m excited to have a good time and just hang out / I thought about what I would wear and I was kinda wishin’ that you were here,” she sings.

Blessett’s sophomore album will arrive January 28 via eOne Music. In an interview with RatedRnB.com last August, she told us what inspired the titled for her “Recovery” album. “We started to analyze all of the records that we wanted to put on the album. A lot of the records had to deal with the next step or the healing process,” she said. “I found that in the songwriting at the time had a lot to do with recovering — heartache, love…”
