Def Jam artist August Alsina spent the latter part of 2013 dominating the airwaves with his breakout hit “I Luv This Sh*t” featuring Trinidad Jame$. Now after scoring a top-five record on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart (No.2) and releasing a successful EP “Downtown: Life Under the Gun,” the NOLA native is finally ready to deliver fans his debut album “Testimony.”
Set to arrive on April 15, Alsina supplies fans with the album’s lead single “Make it Home” featuring Jeezy. As personal and as brutally honest as always, the R&B crooner shares his ups and downs of life on The Featherstones production. Knowing a thing or two about the streets and perseverance, Jeezy’s verse falls right inline with the hard-hitting lyrics by Alsina and The Exclusives.

The arrival date of Alsina’s debut effort “Testimony” is extremely special to him. It is the birthday of his older brother Melvin LaBranch III, who was fatally shot in New Orleans back in 2010.
Alsina’s buzz single “I Luv This Sh*t” still holds a place in the top 10 of Urban radio (No 9) after reaching No.1 back in October 2013.
