R&B newcomer Joe Ryan joins forces with rapper/actress Lil Mama for his new single “Ride or Die.”
“Ride or Die” is the lead single from Ryan’s new album “1879,” which is available now. On the song, Ryan praises his lover for always being there for him — even during his lowest moments of his life.
“She knows just what to say to me/ All these haters fade away/Don’t know what I would do without ya,”Ryan sings. “She’s the one that holds me down/ Stuck around even when I was on the ground/Something that most girls don’t do.”
Lil Mama gives a female’s perspective with a hot 16 bar. “We gon’ ride til we die/ Like we Bonnie and Clyde/ Whether we still in the trenches or we fly in the sky/ G5 high,” she raps.
“1879” signifies the amount of miles Ryan drove to chase his dream. The album includes a collection of songs written, produced and mixed by Ryan.
Ryan is no stranger to the music industry. Managed by MC Lyte, the singer has written for artists like Trey Songz and Ledisi. He’s also had musical placements associated with shows like ESPN’s “Elite 24” and BET’s “Toya: A Family Affair.”
