Since ushering in the new year, music superstar Jason Derulo has been soaking up the success of his 2 Chainz assisted single “Talk Dirty,” which is the title track to his new album — available now.

With his new project set to sell between 30-35k in its first week, he continues to put in the promotional footwork with a visit to Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.”

In the past, Derulo has been known for his mainstream records like “Ridin’ Solo” and “In My Head,” but he reveals to DJ Envy why he chose to go more urban with his new single. “Honestly, after you reach a certain point you gotta’ realize that you rule your career and you kind of manage what’s popular in music,” said Derulo. “If today I go a little bit more urban, that doesn’t mean it won’t get played on the pop charts.” He also credits going into the studio after his neck injury for making the type of music he wanted for this album.

During the interview, he calls his “Talk Dirty” album his “best work thus far” and announces that his next single is “Wiggle” featuring Snoop Dogg.

Aside from talking about his new album, he talks about his relationship with Jordin Sparks and how they keep their sex life interesting while traveling around the world. He also shares why he isn’t rushing to walk down the aisle.

Get to know more about Jason in his interview with “The Breakfast Club” below. Also, make sure to support his album “Talk Dirty.”
